This gym is great. I started on the warrior program and I’m only halfway through but from day one I was feeling better than I have before. Karl put me on a diet and to work and he’s been pushing me and lifting me up to my goals ever since I’ve met him. Karl and the staff he has are second to none. They have gone above and beyond what I was expecting, they make it a friendly environment. Making me feel like I’m truly part of the team and not just some walking wallet. I can tell each one of the coaches are very passionate and knowledgeable about their respective sports, what they teach, and I can tell they truly care about the wellness and progression of everyone of their students. If you have been looking for a gym to train at look no further.
I saw the 6-week challenge ad posted by Karl on Facebook and decided to check it out. After having been sedentary after retiring from the military and having a teenage son I decided this would be a great way for both of us to get in shape, while spending more time together. The meal plan and home workouts are easy to follow and will get your body started in the right direction of being active again without overexertion. Then spending two days a week in the Academy learning self-defense/competitive Jiujitsu allowed us to interact with other members and the friendly environment helped keep us motivated in the challenge and build a little BJJ family as a result of it all that we look forward to seeing weekly. After the challenge ended, my son Brandon and I enjoyed it so much that we chose to continue our BJJ journey. Coach Karl and his team that assist in the training make sure it’s safe and fun for everyone involved while challenging your mind and body to push itself to get better. If you’re looking to get started with changing your health and don’t feel comfortable getting into a weightlifting gym, give this a shot. At 43, I feel in better shape aerobically now than I have in a long time and continue to improve my flexibility and endurance. During the challenge I lost a little under 15 pounds, with a 3% drop in body fat. My son lost about the same weight; except he lost more body fat. As the motto says: “Good Better Best, never let it rest, until our good is better and our better is best. No Worries, just work.” The plan is there, you follow the plan and your good will get better and eventually turn your better into your best results. – Patrick Yates, 43
I joined the 6-week challenge with my dad. At first, I wasn’t sure what to expect but then I started seeing improvements. The meal plan was helpful and flexible and always kept me feeling full. During class, I felt more energetic than I usually am and liked learning the moves and trying them against other people, including my dad, showing me that even with different size opponents the moves work. Going to the classes helped me stay on track and kept me accountable while building my confidence. Even having gone to the gym with my dad, these workouts make me the sweatiest I have ever been from working out, but I feel great after practice and lets me know that I am putting in the work. BJJ gets me moving and allows me to escape from dealing with school or work and strictly focus on something for myself. I look forward to earning my stripes, getting to compete and one day reach that coveted black belt. – Brandon Yates, 17
Great hard working environment. Coach Karl Reed and staff will help assist and motivate you to make sure you reach your goals, not only in sports but in life. Not only will he help you with your physical health, he cares just as much about your mental health. A great place I feel as though everyone can get better at. It’s no worries just work.
