Who This Is For

BJJ Is For Everyone.
Here's What That Actually Means.

🥋
Complete Beginners

Never trained a day in your life? Good. Everyone starts at zero. Our 6-week entry program gives you a foundation before you ever step into a regular class — so you're not lost, you're building.

💪
Fitness-Focused Adults

If you want a workout that doesn't feel like a workout, BJJ is it. You'll burn serious calories, build functional strength, and get better at something — all at the same time.

🏆
Competitive Athletes

NoWorries has produced Master Worlds placements in BJJ. If you want to compete — locally, nationally, or internationally — we have the coaching and the competition prep to get you ready.

Two Formats

Gi & No-Gi — Both Available

Traditional
Gi BJJ

Training with the traditional kimono. The Gi adds a layer of technical complexity — grips, collar chokes, sleeve control — that develops a deep, precise understanding of leverage and position. Most competitive BJJ tournaments are Gi-based. If you're training for traditional BJJ competition or want the most technical foundation possible, Gi is where you start.

Modern
No-Gi BJJ

Training in shorts and a rash guard — no jacket, no grips. No-Gi is faster, more athletic, and translates directly to MMA and self-defense scenarios. It demands tighter technique because there's less to hold onto. If you're training for submission wrestling, grappling tournaments, or MMA, No-Gi is essential. Many students train both.

Build on
the Mat

BJJ is a lifetime sport. You never stop learning, never stop improving. Here's what every session moves forward.

  • 01
Positions & ControlGuard, mount, side control, back control — understanding the hierarchy of positions on the ground is the foundation everything else is built on.
  • 02
SubmissionsChokes, armbars, leg locks — the finishing techniques that end fights. Taught progressively so you understand the setup, not just the move.
  • 03
Escapes & RecoveriesGetting out of bad positions is just as important as getting into good ones. Escape work is what separates good grapplers from great ones.
  • 04
Takedowns & Clinch WorkGetting the fight to the ground on your terms — wrestling-based takedowns and clinch control that bridge standing and ground fighting.
  • 05
Pressure & TimingThe mental game of BJJ — when to move, when to wait, how to exhaust your opponent without exhausting yourself. This is what experience develops.
  • 06
Your Own GameOver time, every BJJ practitioner develops a personal style — the positions they dominate, the submissions they finish with. That's the real goal.

What Members Are Saying

"Coach Karl and his team make sure it's safe and fun while challenging your mind and body. At 43, I feel in better shape aerobically than I have in a long time. The plan is there — you follow it, your good gets better, and your better turns into your best."
