Never trained a day in your life? Good. Everyone starts at zero. Our 6-week entry program gives you a foundation before you ever step into a regular class — so you're not lost, you're building.
If you want a workout that doesn't feel like a workout, BJJ is it. You'll burn serious calories, build functional strength, and get better at something — all at the same time.
NoWorries has produced Master Worlds placements in BJJ. If you want to compete — locally, nationally, or internationally — we have the coaching and the competition prep to get you ready.
Training with the traditional kimono. The Gi adds a layer of technical complexity — grips, collar chokes, sleeve control — that develops a deep, precise understanding of leverage and position. Most competitive BJJ tournaments are Gi-based. If you're training for traditional BJJ competition or want the most technical foundation possible, Gi is where you start.
Training in shorts and a rash guard — no jacket, no grips. No-Gi is faster, more athletic, and translates directly to MMA and self-defense scenarios. It demands tighter technique because there's less to hold onto. If you're training for submission wrestling, grappling tournaments, or MMA, No-Gi is essential. Many students train both.
BJJ is a lifetime sport. You never stop learning, never stop improving. Here's what every session moves forward.
NoWorries Academy has produced competitors who have placed at the Master Worlds in BJJ — one of the most competitive international tournaments in the sport. If competition is your goal, we have the coaching to get you on the podium. Talk to us at your consultation about your competition timeline and we'll build your prep around it.
